I know everyone of us has a dream place to travel. If I will given an opportunity this coming vacation, one of my plans is to visit Davao. Here is the reason why I dream to go to this one of the amazing place here in the Philippines.

Davao is one of the must-see places in the Philippines because it has so much to offer its visitors. From the island treasure known as Pearl Farm in Samal island to the nature trips in its vast collection of farms, mountains, volcanoes and plantations, Davao makes for one very interesting city. It is also noteworthy to know that up to this day, you will still find a very diverse community here, with ethnic tribes and modern people coexisting harmoniously. Thus, you will often find a wide array of arts and crafts such as hand-woven cloths and ethnic beads being sold in market stands.

When it comes to travel. One of the things that we must consider is the safeness of the place and happily Davao City is a very harmless and well-secured place to have fun, explore and experience the pristine beauty of nature, the city’s profound culture and friendly people. Safety is being considered as a very important advocacy in the city.

Places and things that Davao has:

1. Eden Nature Park. It is a place of recreation rich in exotic flowers, lush green forests and songs of birds. It is a mountain resort and a paradise located in Toril. It has several attractions and other activities to offer like zipline, biking, swimming and more.

2. Davao China Town. What you can find here in Davao Chinatown are several business establishments such as shopping centers which sell goods from items made in China, to electronics and grocery finds. There are also restaurants and banks within Chinatown so it is truly a tourist destination on its own. Majority of these establishments are owned by Chinese businessmen. Every Chinese New Year, there are lined up programs and activities which highlight the culture of Chinese community in Davao City.

3. Davao Crocodile Park. The Davao Crocodile Park, as the name implies, is the home of seven hundred cultured Philippines crocodiles. Aside from cultured crocodiles, Davao Crocodile Park is also a haven for a variety of other animals, such as tigers, wild boars, apes, birds and pythons. If you are an animal lover, this renowned tourist spot is a must-visit!

4. Mount Apo. "King of Philippine Peaks”, as it’s called, Mount Apo is one of South East Asia’s highest mountains and it’s right here in Davao. The mountain’s peak reaches an elevation of 10,311 feet which is 3,144 meters above sea level. Towards the top, there is a 500-meter wide crater lake created by volcanic activity. The mountain is home to rubber plantations, a 150-meter tall waterfall called Tudaya Falls, along with wild boar and deer.

5. Travel could not be completed if you don't try something new. In Davao, Durian is widely known as " King of Fruits " Davao's rich fertile volcanic soil and climate make it most suitable for sustained production of the freshest and tastiest Durian. Since the fruits are locally produced, the prices are comparably much cheaper than anywhere in the country.
